Short Update

Hey guys, just a quick update on what happened over the past week before a nice long detailed post:

Taylor's Hyenas representing Team Malaysia successfully smoked Team Hong Kong 7-4 in a fast-paced, hotly contested match-up. The players all did a wonderful job and I'm really proud to say that not a single one of us disappointed on the big day. We were the only Malaysian team to win! Keep that thought in your minds, and your head held high! HYENAS!

And our beloved Venkatach has also just left for the land of Canada today....I had written out a long-ass testimonial in thanks for what he has done for each and every one of us, and promptly I lose my 8gb pen drive. So until that post is up, it has to be said that the Spankatach will be missed.

It doesn't matter if we win or lose, as long as we win. Cheers to that!.

We have been consistently training for the past 6 months, rain or shine, no balls or with balls, we still manage to turn up and bust our ass in training. Thank God, it all paid off when Hyenas from Taylors University College Of Subang Jaya was picked by M.A.D ( Malaysian Association Dodgeball ) to go up against Hong Kong International team in a friendly match.

We were practically excited and literally thankful by the opportunity given from MAD. So, we will do what we do best that is to give them an ass kicking match and show them that our wan tan mee taste better! I mean.. we have quality in playing dodgeball too.

Alright, it looks like we have the players, the attitude, the excitement going, the pump-up adrenaline , the dodgettes, the college support in providing us the venue but we certainly lack of one thing and that is YOU! We would like to invite you to join us this Saturday!. Do come and watch us play and we'll show you what dodgeball is all about!

Status In Campus Dodgeball League

Previously in the month of June ( 17TH June 2009). Hyenas and Hyenas X took part in Campus Dodgeball League that is sadly coming to an end with 3 more matches to go. We will be in Cineleisure, every Wednesday night. Balls will start flying when the clock strikes at 8. We are still stomping our yard and making a name for Hyenas to be one of the best dodgeball teams around.

Now, Hyenas X are comfortably in 1st position with just 68 points, a one point advantage over Barbarians ( SEGI KD) who still has a game in hand. Hyenas are still in 3rd position a 1 point advantage over the Pirahnaz.

Before that,let us take a look at our individuals who contributed alot to the team and was awarded with the title Player Of The Month, just to pamper them before their heads expand bigger than it should be.2 members of our Hyenas has been awarded with Most Valueable Player a.k.a Player Of The Month. First, we have Michael Chew bragging the Most Accurate Player Of The Month for the month of June and Yong Jian nickname, Abang Chua awarding for the Best Catcher Of The Month for the month of July. Hopefully in the future, more team members of Hyenas will be awarded with awards.









So, with three more matches to go, we sincerely do hope you come and support us in the last moments of the Campus Dodgeball league that is expected to end with a big bang!

History Of Hyenas

Dusk settled . It was Monday , 18th of August 2008 . A futsal court in SS18 Subang Jaya rang with what sounded ominously like the chilling cackle of a pack of wild hyenas .
Wild hyenas , however , were nowhere to be found . In their stead one would have found the White Hyenas , Taylors University College’s very own dodgeball team . Perhaps it was the laughter of the team’s members as someone cracked a joke or did something silly (Odds on it was the latter) , or the voice of one member giving commands to the rest of the team , or the single-minded determination seen burning in the eyes of each team member . Whatever the case , one thing was clear : The White Hyenas were together , awoken at last .
