Many associate the game with the less-macho, the less heterosexual male who might well be inclined to the same gender or even none at all, and vaguely label the game as lack of attitude. Unfortunately, these are the people who more often than not miss out the fun.
To begin with, there’s no limit in this game. The sky’s the limit, if you’d. Every game play is different, every dodge is spontaneous and every kill is an opportunity well taken.
Just recently, Taylor’s Hyenas ( Namely the Hyenas X & Hyenas ) has been a lot of spotlight – Our very own international match against Hong Kong, which we proudly beared the flag of Malaysia and made her proud; and the CDL (College Dodgeball League) which we obtained 2nd and 3rd place respectively.
For this, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all the players, all the dodgettes and those people that supported us through our growth. Honestly, I think what sets us apart is not just our wins or losses but the simple faith, the simple mutual trust and friendship that brings and bond us together. I couldn’t be anymore prouder being a captain of this wonderful team, and sometimes this feeling can be so overwhelming I feel unflattered.
Thanks for the Memories, as the fall out boy would so clichely put it.
I can’t express how much I’m so gratitude to have found a bunch of hilarious, spontaneous, annoying and somewhat stubborn team, so thank you and remember we only live by one motto : F*** this shit.
From the moments stoning in the curve, dining at Station Kopitiam time after time waiting for the tournament to start, or the moment of truth when the last ball vs Segi thumped down in the ground, to the countless pictures taken during cheer practices and dodging exercise under the scorching hot sun, to sleepingovers and to the intimidation by the overwhelmingly big HK players’ size to the adrenalin pumping moments, this would go down well the history book of our fragile tangible memory.
So saving for the words of wisdom for our President whose written somewhat a “memorial tribute” longer than those found on the back page of The Star’s obituaries, I present to you videos :
